Miniweb to offer Brightcove customers a simple solution for getting their content to the TV
LONDON – 03 June 2010 - Miniweb, the award-winning developer of connected TV experiences, today announced it has partnered with Brightcove, the leading online video platform, to enable Brightcove’s media customers to use Miniweb’s Connected TV Platform to extend their reach to the TV, with a minimum of integration effort.
Miniweb’s groundbreaking platform enables easy navigation and consumption of Internet video on the TV. The platform empowers TV viewers with key functionality such as global search, recommendations, related content, personalization, micropayments and community/social networking. Unlike an apps model, viewers can search and discover content across all Miniweb content providers with a single action.
Miniweb’s Connected TV Services Platform allows easy integration of a wide range of internet video publishers, extending their business models to the TV and generating revenue through premium content payments and advertising.
“Miniweb’s partnership with Brightcove combines the benefits of Brightcove’s online video platform with Miniweb’s advanced technology solution for internet video on TV”, comments Jerome de Vitry, Miniweb CEO. “Brightcove recognizes the importance of OTT video to the developing connected TV market and we are really pleased to be working together to offer their customers an easy solution to reach TV audiences and generate new revenue streams from connected TV”.
Brightcove’s customers will be able to add their content to the Miniweb platform with minimum integration effort. The content will then be accessible on any Miniweb connected TV device, in multiple territories worldwide, giving content providers the widest possible reach.
”We are pleased to add Miniweb to the fast-growing Brightcove Alliance partner program, which provides a wide range of value-added solutions and services to our customers around the world,” said Cameron Church, Technical Channel Director for EMEA at Brightcove. "Miniweb’s Connected TV platform is a great fit for publishers focused on expanding their video initiatives to the living room.”
Brightcove’s cloud-based online video platform allows customers to organize, publish, distribute, measure and monetize online video on the Web, across mobile devices and on connected TVs. Brightcove’s customers include top global media brands in more than 45 countries.
