Emulator

I am currently using the ActiveX emulator for testing a simple site that i am building in ASP.net. When i use response.redirect the emulator fails with an HTTP_BAD_REQUEST as it can not find the redirected url.

Hi guys,

I am trying to get a site online, and downloaded the sample code; the left-navigation thing.

I have installed the emulator: STB-e_Viewer.exe.

And when I open the SkyportalV0.6.stbe file the Sky portal loads into the emulator (everything looks fine so far)

But when I try to click on green to write in a URL e.g. it just says "Please wait" in the bottom right corner and nothing happens..it seems like I can not connect to the server. Any suggestions? I am doing the development and connection attempt from Norway, any limitations?

It's been a while since V06 was released - is there going to be an updated version released soon to reflect the updates made to the current TV version??

Whilst i'm developing my site i prefer not to use the remote, however when I get into a situation that requires the backup key to be pressed i have to start the remote.

Is there a way to achive backup using the keyboard?

I'm used to developing html/php code in a test editor and looking at the results in a browser. I use the browsers refresh capabillity to view my latest changes.

Is there a refresh facillity in the PC emulator? It's becoming a real pain to keep going through the menus when i'm trying to tweak a UI feature etc.

I've tried updating it but I think it needed un-installing then re-installing but no idea how to.

PLEASE COULD SOMEBODY TRY THE ONLINE EMULATOR (WWW.BETASKYINTERACTIVE/EMULATOR/EMULATOR.HTM) AND SEE IF YOU EXPERIENCE PROBLEMS DUE TO THE "FATAL ERROR" POP-UP MESSAGE IS COMING UP ALL THE TIME ON ALL THE COMPUTERS AT OUR OFFICE, NOT ONLY THAT - IT ALSO MAKES INTERNET EXPLORER SHUT DOWN WITH THAT ERROR BOX WITH THE DON'T SEND BUTTON ON IT "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close.

I'm not able to get the PC emulator working - mind you http://www.betaskyinteractive.com/emulator/emulator.htmis showing the same symptoms.

Trying to navigate using 'enter a url' returns:

Error:168, Level: 4, SP: *,URL:
http://sky.net/broadcast/searchforentry.wml,
End Service Server returns error response: 403

I even get this when trying 'known good' sites such as www.cirrus.co.uk

The emulator does work from links however.

Hi,

I get an activex error when I load http://waptv.com/emulator/, and it displays 'could not play 'stbe://lemon.stbe'.

Do you think this is a problem with our end, or is the emulator not working?.
